Welcome back to the July Made It challenge – even though it’s actually officially August. Minor detail! The challenge will switch to voting on the 5th of August and the winners will be announced on the 7th, so plenty of time to still sneak in your last-minute entries.

Here are a couple more entries from two of our wonderful regulars challengers…

Lottie Top by MrsMacCrochet

First up is this beautiful “Lottie Top” by Mrs Mac, crocheted in an array of gorgeous cotton colours – seems perfect for the UK summer and of course, who doesn’t love crocheting by the pool! I LOVE the granny stripes, such a stylish and clever design. I followed Mrs Macs links back to the original pattern and this top was designed by a man – impressive stuff I tell ya!  Click for more pics &  details on Mrs Mac’s Ravelry page.

YARNCHICK

Babeh Hat by YarnChick40

Lisa-Victoria from Yarnchick40’s posts not only make me giggle – they often make me laugh out loud! I can’t get the image of a lady wearing a minion hat…in a bikini (read the post!).  The only bad thing about this STUNNING baby hat, crocheted in these two STUNNING colours, complete with this STUNNING crochet button..is that LV forgot to write down the pattern!  On the upside, it means we’ll get treated to another one soon, right?!  Those stitches look yummy

Hurry and add your links by clicking on FROGGY below to be with a chance to win this beautiful African Violet made by Jane of Rainbow Junkie

June “Made It” – some patriotic Whimsy, a little Fairy, clever Crafts, funky Feet,a comfy Cushion, a cute Cardi, some sweet Socks and the softest Shawl on the planet!

Hello!

The great thing about Father’s Day is that it’s yet another great excuse to get crafty so I hope the men in your life got lots of glittery cards, tons of crocheted/knitted warmies and stuffed themselves silly with homemade cupcakes/pies/chocolates etc. I’d love to say that my hubby got lots of homemade things (oh, ANY excuse for me to sit down and crochet PLEASE), but instead he got a  FULL ON party with 50 friends,  mounds of delicious curries, a massive chocolate cake, and DJ which kept everyone boogie-ing on the dance floor until midnight. OK, so it was his 40th birthday which basically turned into 3 day affair. I mean, really. What a cheek to turn 40 AND have Father’s Day the next day AND a public holiday after that. Hmmmph!

We did have an absolute ball though, AND just to top it off we went to see Eddie Izzard live at Cape Town’s Grand West Arena last nigh….I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that straight-high heel clad-cross dressing-makeup wearing-multi marathon runner-funny man!  So we’ve only just got back into “normal” mode and I’m feeling tired…but the relaxed, good kind!

So with my feet up, here are the next few entries into June’s fast-filling-up Made It challenge!

SONY DSC

The sun is definitely shining somewhere in the world – my goodness, it’s IRELAND too! Look at these gorgeous summer sandals crocheted by Serena, one of our Facebook page members. I imagine that while taking this pic with one hand, there is a delicious cocktail in the other.. am I right?!

May Made It – The last few entries….or are they?

Crikey, it’s almost the end of May which for some would be depressing as it would mean that we are officially 41.667% through the year (yes yes, I did have to Google that…)

But depressing??? NEVER! It just means that we are another step closer to a VOTING and a WINNER!!! I wish that I could post a photo of the prize for this months’ challenge but here in South Africa – especially Cape Town –  there are a few things you just cannot reply on: the weather (typically), public transport and deliveries! They call Cape Town the Mother City because it takes 9 months for anything to happen! Not far from the truth…sigh!

Don’t worry – the prize will be worth it so just hang in there!

Here are the latest lovely entries…or CRAFTY EYE CANDY as Avis from Oh Sew Tempting has cleverly coined them!

Now this…is TOTE’S amazing!!!! Jill from Nice Piece Of Work was commissioned to make this FABULOUSIO tote bag (go NOW and have a look) I am sooooo flippin jealous!
